My favourite experience on the course was getting something new ticked off everyday....it just means I’m someone different
Calebs Journey from Classroom to Runway:
While still in school, Caleb completed our Introduction to Ground Handling Micro-credential - a decision that helped launch his aviation career. Soon after leaving school, he secured a role with JNP Aviation as a Ramp Service Agent, where he now plays a vital part in keeping flights running safely and smoothly.

In his role, Caleb works alongside JNP Aviation staff and Air New Zealand crew to marshal aircraft safely to the gate, assist passengers as they disembark, and ensure luggage is delivered efficiently to the terminal. He and his Ramp Agent team also help prepare aircraft for departure - loading baggage correctly, guiding pilots on the tarmac, and seeing each flight safely on its way.
Reflecting on his training, Caleb admits he was a little nervous when starting his Air New Zealand training in Auckland because he "didn’t know if there were going to be the same questions in the workplace training as in our JNPAT aviation class" but he actually found it wasn’t too different and that it was really helpful JNPAT covered so much of the real workplace learning in the study environment.
