Engineering

Our New Zealand Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering (pre-employment skills) Level 3, delivered in Tauranga, in conjunction with industry experts from the Engineering and Education Hangar at Classic Flyers, prepares learners for apprenticeship opportunities in employment. Once in an apprenticeship role, an apprentice would work towards the New Zealand Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering Applied Skills (Level 4). From here there are many opportunities to study a range of specialist areas in this high demand field at levels 3, 4 and 6.

Ground operations

Our Ground Handling micro-credential offers learners the potential to enter into ground operations roles. This course is delivered uniquely via our relationship with JNP Aviation (who provide ground operations services at many ports around New Zealand) allowing learners to experience the delivery of ground services with access to areas of airports usually off-limits. This industry connection often provides opportunities for our top students to move into entry roles with JNP Aviation. Once employed, learners can then return to study with us on our workplace training courses including the New Zealand Certificate in Aviation (Ground Handling) (Level 3). This certificate leads onto New Zealand Diploma's in Airport Operations (Level 4, 5).

Leadership in Aviation

This course's content is reflective of the aviation industry's high regulations and compliance standards in health, safety and security. Valuable to aviation professionals as well as all other industries, it covers leadership knowledge specific to teams, knowledge of diversity in the workplace, responding to negative feedback and problem solving. A great solution for upskilling to move into leadership roles in any industry, but particularly those like aviation that are highly regulated, or our leadership course can pathway into the New Zealand Certificate in Business (Introduction to Team Leadership), Level 3.
