We deliver work-based aviation education at your port where our instructor comes to you. We work with our sister company, JNP Aviation, where their Ramp Managers are Verifiers in conjunction with JNPAT Assessors.

We do not leave the Employer to do all the work, rather, we use a three-way learning agreement where all parties support the learner/employee to complete their online theory through Teamsmeets, and practically through real work-based assessment. We also work closely with you, as the Employer, so as not to disrupt workflow, with learner progression and growth at the forefront.

We can also offer this scenario to other organisations, working with your Verifiers and our Assessors, and we often collaborate with organisations to design tailored training solutions that are practical and relevant to your workplace - combining unit standards from across our courses to meet your workforce and industry needs.

In addition, we can host any of our courses, including our Leadership Series, at our aviation base in Tauranga.

We have been lucky to work with both Air New Zealand and JNP Aviation to really fine-tune course delivery and ensure what we teach matches their specific high standards.

Course funding varies - from self-funded to employer-funded (government funding support may also be available)

Don't hesitate to get in touch to discuss how we can help you, your team members or your organisation to reach its full potential  - with our industry-aligned courses.

Industry aligned and driven high quality training...

We have been lucky to work with both Air New Zealand and JNP Aviation to really fine-tune course delivery and ensure what we teach matches the industry's specific and extremely high standards. Education leader Dave Evans outlines his support of our training:

"ServiceIQ, a WBL of Te Pūkenga, and Ringa Hora as the Standard Setting Body for the aviation sector, fully supports JNP Aviation Training Ltd [JNPAT] in the development of training programmes towards the delivery of aviation qualifications particularly the New Zealand Certificate in Aviation (Ground Handling) (Level 3) with strands {ref: 1948]... Sister industry company JNP Aviation provides operational RAMP support services to Air New Zealand in a number of regional airports... JNPAT has the support of Air New Zealand in the development of this training programme as it will help with compliance of the NZCAA Part 139 requirements... JNPAT also specifically targets low prior achievement Māori and Pacifica trainees as a point of entry to the aviation industry in line with government priorities for vocational achievement."

Frequently asked questions

What are the costs and are there subsidies, government funding or industry grants available?

We are hoping to receive government funding to meet the requests and demand of industry stakeholders. In this way, we expect to be able to subsidise the cost of specific training - especially those in aviation ground services and aeronautical engineering. For more tailored courses, such as those in Leadership and Assessment, prices vary dependent on delivery type, numbers and needs. Please get in touch.

How do we enrol staff members onto your courses?

Once you have contacted us and we have the details and an agreement between all parties, we will provide you with online links for your employees to complete our seamless enrolment process. Please get in touch.

Are there any pre-requisites for staff enrolling in these programmes?

This is very dependent on the course. Please have a look at the details of each offering and chat to us if you are unsure. Because these courses are entry level 3 and 4, usually for adult students there are very few pre-requisites.

Do our employees need special equipment or access to facilities?

This is dependent entirely upon what you would like from us. At our Education Hub in Tauranga, we have learner PPE and ground services training equipment - including an ex-AirNZ training ATR aircraft! All of our Instructors hold Civil Aviation Authority (CAANZ) redback access if required at your local port.
