Course overview

A short micro-credential providing essential skills to apply to team environments and workplace settings. Problem-solving, team leadership in a culturally diverse workplace and responding to complaints and difficult situations are essential skills to give you confidence to work productively and positively in a team work environment. Knowing your workplace code of practice, operating procedures and health and safety and security policies and processes are essential to fostering a positive workplace health and safety culture. This course is centered around leadership and the promotion of a health and safe aviation workplace.

What you'll learn

Course content is reflective of the realities of a highly regulated aviation environment, this micro-credential develops practical frontline leadership skills in health, safety, security, and compliance. Learners build capability in workplace health and safety culture, effective teamwork, team leadership, diversity awareness, responding to feedback, and applying problem-solving models.

Entry requirements

Participants require Year 11 NCEA or equivalent.

Course requirements

NZ Citizen or permanent NZ resident, 17+ years.

This course is great for students going straight into the workforce from school or onto university where advanced skills in communication may be required.
